Purposeful Leadership: Building Talent, Influence and Growth
Designed for Senior Managers and Directors

At the senior level, leadership becomes more about building strong teams, expanding your influence, and leading with purpose. This roundtable explores how to develop talent and foster growth by embracing a servant leadership approach that empowers others. Just as important is advocating for yourself, cultivating your own professional network and building on the social capital needed to elevate your influence across the organization. This discussion also looks at extending your presence externally to strengthen both your career direction and your organization’s reputation.
Eligibility
Individuals must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a corporate practitioner.
- Have a non-executive title.
- Have worked at the current organization for at least 3 years.
- Must be registered for AFP 2025.
Selection Criteria and Notification
- HIPO individuals must be nominated by a supervisor.
- All nominations will be reviewed by an AFP committee and selections will be based on the information provided.
- Selected individuals and nominators will be notified in October.
- Nominators of those not selected will be notified in October.
